The GE PYE22PYNFS's interior design is stylish, too. Its LED lighting is a nice addition and the inside storage bins have an additional shelf that can fold down to allow you to store tall items. The drawers are equipped with temperature controls, so you can set them for Beverage, Meat or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their plastic textured coatings a bit difficult on the fingers. The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from any place in the globe. It also offers a lot of customization options. It will also send you notifications when the door is unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted, and when the filter has to be changed. It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill, an option available in a few other GE fridges that allows you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to disperse simultaneously. The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice that is low in use of water. This refrigerator is a great option for households with a single member or kitchenettes who want a built-in look and top-of-the-line food preservation. This fridge was rated as the best in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0°F and never fluctuated by more than a fraction, this is essential to avoid freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, achieving the temperature that was set for the initial setting within a matter of hours and keeping that temperature steady throughout the course of our testing. Bosch is known for its top-of-the-line appliances, so it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance that has the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi as well as Bosch's Home Connect platform. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge has the standard French door design, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set of crisper drawers. The top right shelf can be folded down to give taller items more headroom. You'll also find a full width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser. The refrigerator comes with an ice maker making it easy to move the frozen ice as needed. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that can help you to organize the place of items. It comes with a large bin for storing frozen food and a separate one for ice. Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. You can manage the temperature, lighting and more of your fridge from your smartphone. It's a nice way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home. Although the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge as compared to other fridges we tried. This could be due to the larger capacity. Another issue with the doors of this refrigerator. The sunken handles allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However, taller people still struggle to close them without slamming. It would have been better if they had front-mounted handle. The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a French-door fridge's aesthetics with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the best counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, which makes it a desirable option. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a great choice if you want a French-door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a minimalist design that isn't as visually striking as other models however it comes with enough features to make it a good choice. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food items such as vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water and ice maker dispenser. The “Chill Drawer”, which is located above the two crisper bins, is a excellent feature. The drawer allows you to divert some of the refrigerator's cooling power directly to this area, so you can keep food items that require special attention. This feature is adjustable using a slider located outside the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the general settings work better than the specific ones. In my tests, I discovered that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the refrigerator didn't vary much from 38 degrees. This is a good performance, but isn't quite at the top of our ratings. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to a smart thermometer for more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge. The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless with a “smudge proof” finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
